You can upgrade to any paid tier. Free questions never expire — if you only need a handful of evaluations a year, you might never need to upgrade.
Each paid tier includes a monthly credit pool. If you go over, additional attempts bill at the same rack rate (Starter / Scale) or with the tier's baked-in discount (Pro). Volume discounts auto-apply once you cross the threshold. Overage is never billed at a penalty rate.
Yes. Every paid account can set a hard monthly cap in the dashboard. New candidate attempts are blocked once you hit it. Email alerts at 50%, 80%, and 100%. Cap defaults to plan floor + 50% overage budget; you can disable it entirely.
Pick an AI mode per question when building the assessment. A completed candidate attempt bills the sum — e.g. 3× No-AI ($9) + 2× Agentic ($60) = $69. Cost uses the effective rate (tier + volume discount) at submit time.
Only completed attempts count toward billing. Half-finished, abandoned, or rejected attempts are free.
